A Mitote is a transformative, high-energy, and focused Toltec Shamanic ceremony that purifies us, raises our vibration and light, and offers a release of illusions and past hurts to awaken higher wisdom and truth—perfect preparation for our new beginnings, with messages and visions for the next stage of life.
The intent is to let go and allow rebirth. This unique and profound ceremonial event raises your energy vibration, breaks through stuck places, and awakens a new vision. A beautiful blend of Shamanism and Yogic Chant, we gently birth ourselves into the next phase of our lives.
We experience our own purification on all levels. We chant the Gayatri Mantra, a high-vibration mantra, throughout the early evening ceremony by a smaller group rotating in the center. You are either chanting or dreaming on the outside of the circle. You raise your energy and allow lucid dreaming visions and inner movement.

YOUR SHAMAN GUIDE
Janet StraightArrow found her soul calling as a Shaman in 1992. After significant study with several Shamans and an apprenticeship, Janet was called to work with Dona Bernadette, one of Don Miguel Ruiz’s first apprentices and also a Shaman, in 2001-2003. Don Miguel is best known for The Four Agreements. During Janet’s two years working with Dona, she traveled and participated in Ceremonies throughout Peru, Mexico, and New Mexico as a part of her training. The Mitote, an overnight ceremony, is a way to assist people in healing and awakening through a high-energy, focused ceremony.
Since that training, Janet has held these ceremonies at least once a year to provide a fantastic experience for those who attend. Janet has continued offering these ceremonies because of the transendent healing experience they provide.
Janet is also adding this ceremony to the July Vision Quest as preparation for Vision Quest day on the earth.
You will receive preparation emails and speak with Janet before the event. We meet in mid-afternoon on Saturday, and begin our preparation for the midnight ceremony. We share a light dinner and rest or sleep early evening. At midnight, we awaken, start a round of chanting, watch the indoor fire, and engage in lucid-dreaming cycles. We sleep again, awaken at Sunrise, share experiences in a circle, have breakfast together, and go home. Plan a light Sunday afterwards with alone time if possible.
