Janet has blended this powerful Vision Quest and Mitote retreat and shared it with people for twenty-three years. She masterfully guides you throughout the weekend with purpose, universal wisdom, ceremonies, and practices to open you to experience your highest wisdom and healing. These ceremonies, journeys, and practices help us go within, let go of the past that no longer serves us, and raise our energy as we receive direction, resolution, and clarity on any questions we may have. Janet aligns with the group’s needs regarding how we navigate the weekend and which practices we work on. You will also have the opportunity to spend personal time alone, journaling, walking, and sitting in nature.

We are all navigating deep spaces within ourselves, coping with myriad changes both on the planet and within ourselves. These retreats are designed to support you on your journey, accompanied by a small group of participants. At every stage of life, we undergo transformational changes. We may change jobs or partners, the needs of children, parents, and ourselves may evolve, we may retire, or we may enter new phases of life. We are reclaiming ourselves, undergoing personal changes both inside and out. Join us to unwind in nature and rejuvenate your body, mind, and spirit in a serene, natural setting.

We enjoy walks in the woods, bonfires at night, a star-filled sky, an outdoor soaking tub, visiting horses, and a nature-spirit-filled property. THE WEEKEND:

We gather Friday afternoon, settle in, and enjoy a communal dinner. Friday night’s welcome ceremony marks the start of the weekend. On Saturday, we explore the farm, find our space, and prepare for the Mitote and Sunday’s Quest. The Mitote is a ceremony Saturday night that raises our energy, clears and heals what is in our way, and allows us to receive information in lucid dreaming. Raising energy, letting go, and receiving visions allow transformation and transcendence. On the Vision Quest, we are in our sacred space on the land, sitting still to hear our heart and soul speak. We are reborn as we return to the main cabin, process, eat lunch, and find our way home by mid-afternoon.

OUR RETREAT SPACE:

Art Farm is a farm converted to a retreat space in the Hudson Valley in the Catskill Mountains, west of New Paltz, off the NY Thruway and Route 209. Janet rents the cabins and acres of property for privacy. We have a main cabin and smaller cabins, each equipped with linens for sleeping and working together. A pine forest campground has a flush toilet and an outdoor stone-lined hot shower for tent campers. We provide our food and have an ample, fully equipped kitchen, along with indoor and outdoor seating options. It is suggested that we prepare something simple to make the most of our time.

OUR GUIDE

Janet StraightArrow Shaman, Healer, Sage, has studied spiritual, personal, and healing Mastery since 1967, when she decided to heal herself from a dire diagnosis. Her studies have been an extensive adventure, exploring many known and unknown methods with Masters, Shamans, Gurus, Medical Doctors, and renowned teachers. She sought complete healing, spiritual and Personal Mastery, while uncovering her life purpose, gifts, and Shamanic Calling. With over 30 years of professional experience in teaching and healing, Janet brings extensive understanding, support, and a genuine joy and love.
