Yes, We Can! Strategies for 2025+

Dear Friends,

The calendar flips a page, and we are still here. What do you want for your life, not just this year? Seventy-Two has been a humbling year, realizing I have fewer years ahead than behind, and I want to make the most of them.

Some structural problems in my back and knee have awakened me to being more in my body to keep it stronger, healthier, and more flexible. I am grateful for the choice to improve as I age and for physical therapy, my chiropractor, energy medicine, yoga, qigong, walking, and a mind that says, “I can heal this and do it.”

Be The Medicine, Live the Power of You! is all about living our best life in health, happiness, personal growth, wisdom, peace, love, contentment, and joy!

Yes, I can. It is vital to keep this in mind.

Meditative living is essential, as is listening to our soul’s still, small, guiding voice to follow its wisdom. Overcoming the negativity in the media and people has been shocking and vital to tune out and transform.

Staying true to the wisdom and truth in our minds and hearts preserves sanity and optimism.

Over the past few months, I have been reflecting daily on my life, writings, teachings, healing, and work, and I am now assembling the key elements I wish to leave as my legacy.

I have shared below some fundamental insights for you to take a look at and consider. Each is powerful and makes a huge difference in our quality of life.

FOR YOU TODAY.

Yes, I can. This is an important set of words to embrace. The monkey mind in our heads is full of fear, excuses, and reasons; our true selves are brave, wise, and capable.

Overcome the illusions of resistance and fear, and tap into your higher intelligence,

which is focused on being and doing your best and accomplishing all you want and need to.

Learn to say yes and no with love. This is second only to what blocks us from accomplishing, moving forward, and being happy and healthy. Following our inner wisdom and personal choices daily can mean saying no to what is not us, what is not valid for us, or what we know is not aligned with our health and happiness. This causes many mental and physical illnesses.

Being true to our humanity means being a grown-up who chooses what is best for us. Living lies can cause us to feel resentment and empower negative self-talk. When we follow our truth and care for ourselves, we can care for ourselves and others healthily and lovingly.

Change is real and necessary. Change is evolution. The good news is that we can change when we are unhappy or have circumstances that hold us back. We can heal ourselves with our attitude followed by wisdom. When we release our mind’s limitations and fear, we open our minds and actions to limitless possibilities.

Let go of Control. Our minds control us to maintain the status quo of what we think should be. We miss what is here and the ongoing positive possibilities. We each live in boxes of our reality. Breaking through those boxes opens up new worlds of incredible realities to embrace and explore.

Have more fun! This has been my prescription to clients and students from the beginning. Finding the joy inside and bringing it out and through is the most loving and healing thing you can do. I would not have survived well without humor and a sunny personality, even in the very tough times.

As we release the victim mentality, we can be sad, grieve, angry, and hurt, and find ways to heal and not stay in any places in our mind and body that keep us from healing.

Always wanting to be our best, happy, healthy, and whole keeps us going, and I suggest that to you. It works. We are only victims when we stay in that mindset. We are free to be and accomplish so much more.

You can stay out of another people’s business. Complaining, criticizing, judging, and blaming others close to us or in the media breaks us down. This reality is negative, stuck, and hurts everyone. If there is a positive way you are called to support or help, do that. Stop putting others down and instead look inside to heal the wounds that keep you focused on the negative.

Compassion. Humans make choices we do not agree with or feel are best for them. They choose each moment and have free will to do so. We have compassion for others by accepting what they are struggling with and knowing they are choosing this way of being.

It is not our responsibility to judge or fix others; looking inside for our unhealed ways and wounds is a good focus instead. By lifting our focus and attitude, we help all. Project a positive, supportive energy instead of the worst that could happen. Send unconditional love, not controlling fearful energy and thoughts, and let go.

I realized compassion for all humans after my daughter Lisa died suddenly in 2008. I saw all the suffering and struggle each person has to wake up each day and keep going in this world of illusion and confusion, and immediately, I felt compassion and appreciation for all of us.

Letting go. When we release the past, we make room for a brand-new future. Carrying the past burdens, us with loss, hurt, and pain. Instead, look at its positive purpose and what you have learned, and make this a part of your history with which to move on and grow.

LOVE YOURSELF. Begin with exquisite self-care. Be aware of what you take in and absorb. Make good choices about food, thoughts, people, and environments. We all have time for what and who is essential. Working on the above sections will open you up to love and yourself in many ways.

May this be of support on your journey.

Blessed, Loving Wishes for All.

Thank you for being here. Happy, Healthy, Awesome New Year!

Testimonial. “I first met Janet on 1 to 1 coaching/spiritual sessions. She reawakened the spiritual journey that I had put aside and went deeper with the many healing workshops. She has a special gift for teaching and is a natural healer/intuitive. I have learned many tools to use daily for increased health and well-being. I also completed a 5-month reiki master class with Janet. Janet is very thorough when teaching, is so present, and holds the class’s energy that we have no choice but to go deeper into our journey and come out more awakened. I recommend Janet to anyone interested in going deeper in their spiritual growth, needing guidance with their health/relationships, or looking for a healing session.”
