Janet guides us with refined spiritual practices that help us move into this higher experience. We dive into our Spirit Lake, a territory that reflects our body and life in direct ways, informing us about what is occurring in our life, health, energy field, relationships, purpose, and more.
In this divine dimension, we feel at home. Next, we meet our Soul, called the Spirit Twin. Immediately, we feel connected, supported, and loved, and we begin to join body and Soul.
As we learn to navigate this territory and ourselves, and learn how it works, we align with universal laws and release ego limits. With continuous practice, we continue to grow and find that our daily life transcends our trained limitations, allowing us to live our authentic selves.
Our Soul twin is our divine Self, who loves us unconditionally, knows our personality, agreements, contracts, and lessons, and offers us wisdom in everyday life. In this practice, we begin to learn to walk our human and spiritual path with direct experience and understanding.

This Soul Shamanism Training has been developed for healers, teachers, therapists, coaches, yogis, and all seekers. Long-time Shamanic practitioners discover how this advanced spiritual practice empowers more direct healing and knowledge.
Offering this training in a retreat setting allows participants to integrate and relax away from daily responsibilities. This nurturing spiritual container of the Himalayan Institute supports our journeys.

Preparation Suggestion: A meditation practice — any style — is supportive, including Himalayan Vishoka Meditation. Listen and practice the recorded class that Janet sends you when you sign up.

YOUR GUIDE, AND THE JOURNEY TO SOUL SHAMANISM
Janet StraightArrow is a Master Shaman, Healer-Teacher, Sage, Yogi, and Astrologer.
As a Shaman, Janet holds a big energy of love and delight. She is honored and grateful to support the journeys of each person who is called to work with her. Six decades of focus and study on spirituality and healing have led her to experience and explore worldwide traditions and unexpected places, offering people an exciting journey.
Janet’s lifelong search has been to study and live the wisdom of the sages. She was born with the gift of discernemnt knowing Ancient Knowledge. Seeing the truth and illusions of what was happening in the world made it difficult for an aware child to understand.
The way people spoke and acted was often not aligned with the wisdom she understood. She experienced a lot of confusion, yet innately knew and trusted universal truth, love, responsibility, common sense, and logic.
In 1967, at the age of fifteen, she was given a dire diagnosis, without any hope. After recovering from shock, she remembered the divine truth inspired by Jesus’s example and teachings. She knew we could heal ourselves and decided to learn how and be happy and healthy into old age.
Her life’s mission, Be The Medicine, was born. She has been inspired to develop a universal path to help others become their own medicine. Now, at the age of seventy-three, Janet has reached the first stage of her goal. The next phase of the journey may be the best, as she brings the journey’s fullness into the world.
Janet’s life has been a progressive journey of study, practice, and living through each stage; new questions have always led to answers. There was always another book, teacher, master, or practice to glean more clarity and wisdom. Janet relates to the spiritual healing and becoming journey as an adventure. Each step opened more truth and light to embrace. Her entire life has been extremely challenging, marked by resilience and accompanied by enormous gifts.
Janet’s focus has always been Universal; many paths became one as she honored and integrated all the foundational wisdoms of many traditions. Her studies with 150 teachers worldwide and her reading of thousands of books gave her information, tools, and many perspectives to learn from.
In 1981, Janet opened her first healing business, The Whole Foods Cooking School. She taught women to how to heal and nourish their families with whole foods nutrition. She also taught tasty ways to prepare healthy meals with pure ingredients.
That same year, Janet began her yoga and meditation studies with the Himalayan Institute. She has always honored this lineage and is happy to bring her work to the Institute.
SHAMANIC CALLING
In 1992, Janet StraightArrow found her Shamanic calling after twenty-five years seeking complete healing of body, mind, and spirit. No one was more surprised than herself, a white woman from New Jersey, to accept and understand her true Self as a Shaman.
Her gifts and past-life memories have been continuously awakened since that moment of discovery. Janet experienced many spiritual initiations and energy risings as she continued her deep work with Shamans, Masters, Gurus, and Renowned Teachers.
In 1995, Janet began practicing healing and teaching Shamanism, Reiki, and other spiritual healing modalities. Offering continuous individual and group healing, coaching, and teaching in seven states, NYC, and on Zoom. Teaching has been a huge learning experience, too. She has mentored ongoing groups of students since 1999.
Soul Shamanism was born in 2003, when she was introduced to a Siberian Shamanic lineage. She was guided to grow this path into its wholeness, bridging refined levels of universal wisdom and healing mastery, along with embodied teachings and accelerated practices.
Teaching Soul Shamanism for 23 years has allowed the fullness, ongoing potential, and profound results to manifest into grounded spiritual experiences in how to live our innate power and truth. Continuous journeys into higher dimensions of healing and wisdom, from the sixth to the thirteenth, have been extraordinary.
Janet has several books in progress, and more workshops, training sessions, and online offerings are being scheduled. Yearly Vision Quest Ceremonies and other unique, transformative ceremonies and retreats help people deepen their personal journey and live their true selves.
