To awaken our beauty, love and truth is to awaken our true selves. Living in a world focused on doing instead of being, we move through life in the mind instead of the heart. Not having enough time is an illusion that keeps us on the wheel of going nowhere fast.

Slowing down to pay attention and really live takes practice in our modern world. Pausing to breathe more fully takes us out of the fog of busy life and so called responsibilities. True responsibility is the ability to respond authentically in the moment.

Looking out for sunrise or sunset, listening to the birds or wildlife reminds us of the world outside of our busy heads full of expectations and limitations.

Slowing down and paying attention is a good way to begin. Who am I, where am I? Appreciating self and others is so important. Nothing has to be the way it is, we can awaken and change and become content and loving and present.

The only thing we have is time. Enjoy it, appreciate it, live it! When we face a disease or experience that brings us nose to nose with death we are suddenly brought to either wake up from the sleep of our lives, or go deeper into fear.

You are worth taking the time to slow down and notice yourself and the world. Why are we here? After enough near deaths and traumas the only thing I could come up with is - to experience joy!

As I continue to heal the judge and the jury in my head and the fear, pain and sorrow in my body, mind and heart - my true self emerges in all of its glory. I learned to live zero tolerance for living and speaking against myself-no matter what others said or did.

Giving up the ghosts of our upbringing and lives is to allow all the innocence and newness to become our way again, or for the first time. Instead of seeking outward approval or fitting in, we find our security and safety is in our own self.

When we treasure ourselves we honor the life we were given, each breath, touch, feeling, expression of ourselves and each person in our lives is precious. To smell the rain and taste the snow and feel the sun on our skin is worth taking the time to experience.

All of this is our gift of being human. Human nature is glorious. Health is normal when you live in alignment with you. Disease is the result of dis-ease, not being at ease in your self.

In my healing and Medical Intuitive practice I find that all illness has a cause of living out of alignment with our truth in myriad ways. As StraightArrow I am guided to locate those places within others and myself to see where we have been caught up in an event, trauma, pattern, belief or fear that has kept us open for problems and pain.

Not feeling worthy or good enough is often the entrance point for the disease to take hold. Learning to love our selves enough to heal is the greatest adventure. When we heal ourselves we heal our families, environment and the world.

To treasure yourself is the least selfish thing you do, and the way to awaken and heal disease in the world. As each one of us becomes fully human and present the world becomes a better, safer place to live.
